As movement becomes more precise and integrated, the next major sequencing is locating and directed movement in our space world. Movement became more purposeful and directed. Hopefully a bilateral integration has taken place, auch as shifting from one leg in crawling, and simultaneously moving the opposite hand. Early sequencing of a homolateral movement would be more like an ape walk, moving with both the arm and leg simultaneously as compaired to an integrated bilateral direction.
Many infants may skip much of this neurological development with the use of walkers, causing awareness of anti gravity not to fully develop. In our universe, gravity is the only constant we have ie: light/dark, hot/cold, are all variables. If we think of the brain as an empty computer that must be programmed, the basis of mathematical skills is actually being programmed in the early crawling stages of development. 1 + 1 + 1 (would equal 3), or 1 + 1 - 1 -1 (would equal 0.) This may not be obvious, but it establishes a lot of the neurological programming relationships for future use.
